| Translation has
always been and will always be a specialized skill, which requires
extensive studies and practice in order to provide quality work for the
client. However, in the early stages it was a time-intensive process to
provide large volume translation. One of the best known examples is the
Rosetta Stone. Made in Egypt around 200BC, it is a stone tablet engraved
with writing which celebrates the crowning of King Ptolemy V. Measuring
1m (approx. 3 Feet) high and 70cm (approx. 2 Feet) wide, it is made of
black Basalt. The writing of the Rosetta Stone is the most interesting
part: it is the same text repeated in three different alphabets:

Today, Translation has become a mass-production environment, in which Time to Market and the availability of a number of languages at the same time have become very important factors for the success of a company around the globe.
